Well there was a time when Micheal Bourn had trouble hitting more than his weight early on. And if it doesn't work out. .Very minor risk. Not much different than taking a AAA guy who may or may not get a call before September.

Looks like good news for you on Gordon. While nothing is set in stone, I now understand it would take a very drastic development for Gordon not to be the starting 2B for the Dodgers as the year begins. And, if he can just hit a bit, he may not let the job go.

I love my pitching staff considering I did not take any until round 7. I think this group can hang with most teams in the league. Not worried about my injury prone closers, they are easy enough to find.

I don't know a whole lot about him. . But I know the biggest knock is his glove. And outside of a grand slam.. He's not exactly raking this spring either

Well, you are in the neighborhood of his "knock". It's not that he has a bad glove per se. It has well more to do with learning the 2B position in less than a calender year. He played 2B in winter ball this year, and, so far this spring. However, that is it, with him only playing SS before. So, he can catch and throw, but, he is just learning new footwork and positioning etc. I guess the same could be said for Gordon, but, Gordon is or just must be a bit more wel rounded. Maybe daddy Flash Gordon saw to that?

It was his hitting that the Dodgers were leaning on when considering him for the 2B job. But, he also has not hit, save for the big one mentioned, so Gordon edges to the foreground.

I don't think that was as much a baseball move as it was an everybody in the organization hated him for bangin' Prince's old lady move. (Also a kneejerker when Cement Feet Jhonny got popped.). He could be a serious offensive producer for the SouthSiders.

Just heard about that thing with Prince's wife Saturday. I thought it was all about Jhonny and his little addiction problem.

I'm a little bit late to this part of the conversation. I understand now, after checking and seeing this has nothing to do with the color purple at all.

I'm left to wonder if Garcia's departure from DET was related to this, but figuring/assuming it was to some extent.
