There were actually a couple of people over at the "Evil Bad Place" (CBS boards) who stated at the beginning of the season that they would take Jake Peavy over Max Scherzer -- this despite the fact that Peavy had logged fewer than 112 innings in three of his previous four seasons. Well, Peavy is on the DL yet again (4-6 weeks) while Max is rolling. I'd hope there is no argument now.

Scherzer becomes the first Tiger pitcher since Vern Kennedy in 1938 to start a season 9-0.

Max will be a tough guy to resign!

The Tigers starting pitching staff is the best I have seen since the Braves and A's of the 90s. I still like the idea of trading Porcello near the deadline for a SS prospect and a reliever....hello Diamondbacks??? Porcello has elevated his worth that Detroit can demand more in return and I still see him as odd man out in a playoff rotation.

I'm not gonna jinx this.... Jake Peavy is awesome! (It was the duo of he and Sale that I'm big on, well.... That and I don't want to see Max get re-signed). Just can't see him in action until sometime after the break.

Love the avi swarm......I had a McCaw for years then gave it to my grandma when I left for the Army......

Parrot lived for 25 years....I was always thinking it would out live her.

Cool muzzer!

Macaws are huge! Very cool.

My wife and I have a 29 year old rescued female cockatoo that is so OCD that no one will have her (but she is s-o-o cute), a 15 year old ventriloquist female African Grey named Keno, and a 26 year old Amazon parrot genius named Einstein. We placed a rescued male Eclectus (looks kind of like a toucan) with wife's best friend Denise (nicknamed "Bunny") because we love him so much we felt he deserved more one-on-one attention than he could get with us because we also own four dogs and another eight birds (all but two are rescues)...

I have a few acres behind me out near 30 mile road and I see some huge owls out here. I saw a giant one at about 27 and Van Dyke a couple of summers ago. So big I could not believe what I was seeing. Another time I saw one sitting on a phone line only a few hundred yards away from my back door.

:omg:

How cool! I must share this with you...

I co-owned a country feed store in Livingston county in the early 1990's.

A customer rolled in driving a pickup with a topper. The guy had moved here a year prior from near Grayling. He asked my partner and I to come out and look in back.

On two separate perches rested a falcon and a hawk with cowls on. Bob was a hiker and snowshoer and often ran into eggs that fell out the nests. Only two were rescued in time out of dozens to produce live birds and these were the two.

He asked me if I knew any farmers or landowners that might be OK with allowing these two magnificent birds to have a safe fly on their farm. Fortunately I was very good friends with Dennis. He owned a 1,200 acre farm right across the street on Argentine Road.

He was happy to allow Bob to turn these two birds loose.

It was incredible! First Bob uncowled the falcon. Off he flew, way out of sight. Bob did not call, nor whistle for the bird. My partner Bill and I were worried after two minutes or so whether the bird would return. Sure enough, just a minute or so later, the falcon returned and landed on Bob's hand, and Bob cowled him back up and returned him to his perch in the truck.

Then the same scenario unfolded with the larger hawk. It was phenomenal!

Bob visited the farm many times, and Dennis was kind enough to call us up whenever Bob brought the two birds.

Scherzer is an 8-0 at home but his ERA is 4.03-which is 12th.

The Tigs average 5.03 runs a game, but they average a whopping 6.31 when Scherzer is on the mound.

He also has 3 "cheap" wins.

1. His 1st start of season- 5 IP 4 ER

2. April 24 Royals - 5 IP 5 ER

3. May 10 Indians - 8 IP 4 ER

If wouldn't of got his normal run support he would not being undefeated. All that being said you have to have good run support and some lucky breaks to be undefeated. Yet he still not the ace of this club.

Sounds like someone is a closet Maxie Poo fan. It's ok, jump on the bus. I will even let you honk the horn.
