I don't know what to do with this player.

I wish I picked up West last week over Davis. a 100 yards against Pittsburgh is not easy.

He only got 9 carries and Matt Jones is a volume runner. He gets better the more touches he gets because he pounds on defenses, or at least he did at Florida.

It is the line, Cousins, and Gruden.

The line is not opening up holes consistently, cousins has nothing but possession recivers to throw to, so defenses do not get burned when they stack the box. The eventual return of DJax will hopefully change that.

Gruden will not commit to the run game. He reminds me of Philbin in that manner. The Skins' offensive strengths should be running the football and play action passing, but Gruden won't play that way. Very frustrating.

Its hard to open holes when the opposing D has nothing to fear from the pass. Maybe the success the pass game had this week will open things up. I'm still holding on to Jones in 5+ leagues

The only thing that could help from DJac going back is TDs, which is basically 6 more points and maybe 20 more yards if he still is just the redzone back.

DJax is always a threat to score. Defenses must account for him. Right now, he Redskins have nobody capable of stretching the field. It would be like having a basketball team where nobody can make a 3 point shot.

Once (if) DJax returns, the way that defenses play against the Redskins will change. Right now they are selling out to stop the run without having to worry about being burned deep.

I'd say if Jones doesn't pick up production after the bye, he never will (not this season at least). Gruden claims they're gonna work on the run game during this bye week so we'll see.

Matt Jones just got dropped in my league. Maybe he's worth picking up for my team in case Eddie Lacy doesn't bounce back and Ameer Abdullah never breaks through like I've been hoping. My other backs are Yeldon and Lamar Miller.
