Christ... Get real Buckeyes. You started the season with a proven OL and a Heismann candidate at QB. Just like last year. You had a bruiser halfback and a bunch of rising stars on defense. Just like Tebow, Urban hardly has a job to do in turning Braxton into a weapon. MSU got more and more out of their offense and they gameplanned appropriately to what they had.

And yes, people vote COY based on how surprised they are to see success. It's basic psychology, and it's an accolade no one remembers in 2 years. Settle down.

Best player on Wisconsin maybe. That award rightfully belonged to Shazier in every measurable aspect.

Borland is better than Shazier. Too bad your recruiters didn't see it in him. Home state kid... Must kill you.

It's hard for me not to give my nod to the undefeated guy two years running.

Problem is the seasons not over. Not even the B1G ccg has been played.

In a perfect world the winner of the B1G ccg would have received this award.

But grats to Sparty. Dantonio has sure done a fine job. :suds:

There isn't a Buckeye on this board, or anywhere for that matter, that doesn't have a ton of respect for Dantonio. But we'll quit being "petty" (as you call it) when they stop discriminating against Buckeye coaches.:suds:

Looking through your Badger colored glasses today? Shazier is way better than Borland.

Short doesn't = less. Borland... 4.4 40, 240 lbs. Outside of height and reach...find something agsinst Chris Borland. Just like Russell Wilson, he'll shock all the knowitalls at the next level. The guy doesn't miss a read.

Did not say anything against Chris Borland. Did I? Just do not agree with you that he is better than Ryan Shazier. Look at the stats. I seriously doubt Borland will run a 4.4/40. I think Shazier will though.

Borland missed two games with an injury, or his stats would be as good or better than Shazier's.

40 times are nice, but I don't think any defender in the B1G gets from sideline to sideline like or is better in pursuit than Borland in an actual fucking game.

Maybe you should compare their stats before you say you think Borlands would be better. You really think he could get 13.5 TFL in 2 games, force another 3 fumbles, break up 3 more passes, get 3 more sacks, 21 more solo tackles, all in two games?

I think Borland is a great LB. Probably 2nd in the country, behind Shazier. You need to watch Shazier. :suds:

Dantonio's trick play call against the Irish is the reason they have a loss this season.

I would KILL to see the Bears draft Borland in the 2nd round. He's the perfect heir to that middle linebacker slot. People can say what they want about the size, but guys who can run 4.45, read the field perfectly, lead a defense, and tackle consistently will never go out of style. And like Russell, he is deceptively strong.

by "they" I assume you're talking about other B1G coaches and Media folks (who probably know a bookoo more about this shit than you and me do) doing the voting, right?

btw...THIS is, if true, 'petty':
There are whispers that Ohio State coach Urban Meyer already has appealed to the conference to watch the Michigan State corners closely Saturday.

Which would be more difficult? Going undefeated in the Big10 with two top 3 classes and always top 10 classes or going undefeated in the Big10 with classes that always rank between 35-45? It's easier to go undefeated with a bunch of 4-5 star recruits than it is with a bunch of 2-3 star recruits. Should Tressel have won a B1G coach of the year, yes. But Dantonio has done very well this year and is just a couple of questionable pass interference calls away from battling for a national title birth.

I'm not just talking about this season. Go back all the way to JT's first season. NEVER one COY for a Buckeye coach. That's complete :bullshit:
