Let's see if Romero knows what he's talking about, or if it's Z who knows what he's talking about...in his own press conference.

First reaction is this is a knee jerk panic type move. I guess offensively he upgrades Ackley but he's terrible defensively. I think I may like getting Nuno more.

i asked that earlier

odds of it being ackley are slim, i'm betting, even though he is pure dead weight. there's no way he'll clear waivers, but that's no excuse to keep him on the 40-man, in my opinion.

who the fuck even knows.

You couldn't get a bucket of chicken offer in a Ackley trade right now.

Interesting trade. Like the ERA of that lefty we landed.

I remember a few years back I tweeted Dave Cameron (I know) about trading League for Trumbo and he laughed saying Trumbo was the RH version Peguero. I guess his value went up a little.

Last year he was 0-7 in 14 starts for AZ but had a 3 ERA. I like pitching depth.

Weeks would make the most sense roster wise but he's "Jack's" guy so I dunno maybe Ackley. Will be interesting

Trumbo has played well in RF this year, unlike LF last season. This notion that he is terrible defensively is wrong. The only issue he has is the range or speed to get to balls in the corner or gap. But overall, he has been surprisingly effective in the RF. He can still hit bombs on a semi-regular basis.

Nuno is nothing more than a 6th SP or long-man in the BP. He really doesn't have the stuff to to consistently get MLB hitters out while pitching in the rotation. He throws nothing overpowering, but van be effective at times.

The Dbacks needed a catcher & young BP arm. They got both while also getting a decent young prospect in return. Reinheimer fills a need in their upper minors for young middle infielders. Even if he ends up being nothing more than a utility guy, the Dbacks will have some bench spots to fill in 2016.

If you ask me, this trade is pretty even for both teams.

Z knows his ass is on the line, he's going all in before it's too late; almost, but not too late fellas.

Gabby hurts, but I'm tired of hoping we can develop prospects when we clearly can't. My only issue is how do you not somehow include Ackley as a throw away player?

I agree 100%, tired of the prospects in this organization
