It didn't decide the game. He could have made the kick regardless of the Chargers not being lined up correctly. Besides that, you have no idea if he makes the next kick even if the Chargers were penalized.

Meh, if they would of won week 17 vs SF, and still didn't get in. I could get behind it.

Re-Devils advocate. if their not good enough to beat SF or SEA for the division or first wild card. Do they really deserve to be in?

And for every 10 or 11 team that doesn't make it. There would be 2-3 times as many 8-8 teams that make it........

Every Steelers fan to whom I've spoken feels this way. Yeah, we should have been in the playoffs BUT we also shouldn't have started 0-4. We got ourselves in a big hole. That's not the ref's fault - it's ours.

This. And I didn't come on here one single time and complain. Shit happens. Getting a bad call in week 1 is the same as getting a bad call in week 17. Refs make the right call in week 1, and the Steelers never had a chance. Such is life for all.

I've always said that bad calls tend to even out over the course of the season. Sometimes the call goes your way, sometimes it goes against you. That's just the nature of sports.
