One of the very few downsides for the offense in this new player safety era.

Just guessing, but most likely Lynch. Side judge was right there when the defender had his arms wrapped around Lynch while he was spinning. Not sayin I agree with it. Very preemptive call. Most times they only call that play dead when there's more than 1 defender hanging on the ball carrier.what player was "at risk" though?

Sad but true. Just have to pray to the football Gods that it doesn't determine the outcome of a game at the expense of your team.Very true and it doesn't appear it will change anytime soon

True. I feel the same way. Just maddening when you gotta imagine they have the technology to improve these boneheaded calls. Especially the plays that go under review from the head official. Seems like those calls get blown far too often.yeah... I guess it could be said for every sport however... Just seems like it happens more in the NFL
