I imagine it would be pretty hard to prove. Anything substantial was probably a "loaner" and other stuff, like meals, would be hard to really track -- especially back then.

It's a little easier today now that everything is digital.

Even if he's 100% serious all he has to do when the IRS and or the NCAA shows up is say "I was joking". How on earth are either going to prove he was paid 25 years ago. Heck the NCAA couldn't even figure out that Cam was paid.

The IRS does not pursue cases older than 10 years and the NCAA has no power to force Shaq to tesitfy since he doesn't care about eligibility.

Yeah, shaq has been hated forever by his hometown of San Antonio. It's not until recently he isn't as hated anymore, and is actually finally going into the San Antonio sports hall of fame this year.
