think of the storyline this creates for the off-season. Last year it was Cavs/LeBron/Heat and this year Cavs get #1 overall pick. It's a pretty good storyline if you ask me.

you're telling me last summer with LeBrons issue and Cleveland fall out that, that did not create ratings for ESPN and other sport media outlets? that was a great story they loved to push onto us and the Cavs response to the thing kept the NBA relevant all through summer. How many times did you hear about the Cavs this year? I heard exactly 4 times:

1) When they beat the Heat
2) When they beat the Lakers
3) When they beat the Knicks
4) The Baron Davis trade

ok because the Cavs were the worst team in the NBA. But as for the summer they most definately were apart of all discussions. During the season w/o LeBron sure they are a non-story. But during the off-season they can create a lot of buzz. hell they are in their off-season already and they have already created more buzz then they did all season.
