holdout plus 400 touches last year scares me this year
Like I've said before... If Bell plays on the tag again then I expect them to get a lot of looks at Conner this year. I highly doubt Bell touches the ball 400+ times again.

exactly what hes doing
Freeman is a very underrated RB, but he's not in the same league as Bell. Not even close. I don't give a shit what cherry-picked numbers he has to boast his argument.

Oh I agree. I just don't think the downward trend is here for Bell just yet. History isn't favorable to RBs coming off a workload like that. But the way that Bell has been playing in recent years proves that he has learned how to take hits better and is protecting himself from injuries. He's a much smarter player. And he has been keeping himself in the best physical shape of his career during that time. Unless he spent this offseason smokin with his bud Snoop, I would expect the exact same shape.

Bell will get his money he's looking for, just not by the Steelers. Some dumb team will give him what he wants and be screwed when he starts to slow down or have chronic injuries that keeps him off the field.

Some said that about Dez. He is still a man with no jersey.

Truth. I imagine there will be teams rushing to Bell's door once FA opens up... But once they see the price tag they'll wait him out. I have a hard time believing anyone would shovel out $17mil per year over 4-5 years to a RB that may or may not last 2/3rds of that contract length. It would take a desperate team to do that. Or maybe Bell will feel very scorned and he'll sign with the Pats for half that.

Seems there are more and more guys coming out of college that can (may) be like Bell. Zeke and then Barklay come to immediate mind. Of course we will have to see how NY plays SB to see what he can do.

I could see them running him to the ground.
