Mitch's best shot at regular PT at 1b will be to get hot offensively ... and get traded to another team in need. Prince is just a little over a year older than Mitch. The path for Gallo's elevation perhaps not this year will involve Beltre moving across the diamond or to DH which makes Mitch's days numbered no matter how bad Prince is at 1b.

Mitch and Choo are fifth wheel remnants of past moves that haven't worked out.

I regret to say. I would rather see Mitch getting PT at 1b. Just don't see it happening with Prince's big contract and agent wanting to hold onto Prince's maximum utility.

I don't see them moving Prince for Mitch or Beltre. I think 1B is his for quite some time.

I definitely don't see them moving him for Mitch. I could see them trying to sell him on a longer and more productive career at DH rather than 1b given his neck surgery, but ultimately they do have to sell him on it.

I'm still in " wait and see mode" with Banister. Part of me thinks JD just hired him because JD has a big ego and needs to be the smartest guy around. Tim Bogar seemed to be the overwhelming favorite to get the gig. I think he deserved a shot, but we'll see I guess.
