RW I believe did Andrus no favors. He put in Andrus brain that he was a light weight hitter by using him constantly to bunt or hit and run.

I hadn't really thought of it in this manner. Makes a good deal of sense though.

Right, it was what I was alluding to in that there were a number of people involved in this change besides Beasley but his honesty is what probably started the soul searching on Andrus part and from there others chimed in.

I'm with ya, and you nailed it.

I had such a funny mental picture of Beasley just sitting up against the 1st base railing, with EA at his side. They're just jawing about baseball stuff and Tony says, just matter of fact, nothing with anger/antagonism: "You're not very good" comment. Had to get his attention....FINALLY!

And if (big IF) EA maintains this edge for the next 5+ years, we'll look back and remember this as a true making, not breaking, point for his/Rangers future.

Sounded like all he did was open up a can of self respect and pride and pour all over Elvis. EA had to realize his mega bank roll wasn't big enough to buy what Beasly gave him for nothing.
