Not a good day to be Jason Hammel. He's Baltimore's starting pitcher today, matched up
against our Cy Young candidate, Jon Lester. Lester may have had some problems
under the incompetent Bobby Valentine, but appears to be getting over them now that
Not-My-Valentine is history.

Glad we won, but it others me that we'll need some help from the Sinstripes to get back into1st place today.

We'll get there sooner or later, and rooting for NYC teams goes against my grain big-time.

Yanks just won. And, yeah, rooting for them goes against my nature as well. I was completely indifferent to today's game as far as where the teams were in the standings and who won. All that matters to me is that one of them lost.. lol.

Lester is nearly, if not the, least of our worries.

Lackey, health, baserunning, and our bullpen (aside from Uehara) are all greater causes for concern, IMO.

Lester has to step up if the Red Sox will go far. Base running mistakes kill this team.
