Regarding Profar............So, in another 10 days, he'll likely be called up for September and will once again be used sparingly. Then the season will end and, with it, he'll no longer have minor league options remaining.

The time will come this winter for the Rangers to either commit to him or trade him, even if the return is less than they would have ever dreamed.

"I became the No. 1 prospect, according to people, by just going out and playing the game and having fun," Profar said. "I've been in tough situations. I've played here or there, and it didn't work out. But this is my last option. I'm going to keep working. I know in the future I'm going to get to play."

It just looks more and more likely that long-term future won't be in Texas.

The scary thing is...... is he really better than roogie? And you know what? I think he might be.

I know Elvis is irreplaceable. I hope Elvis is playing shortstop for us for the next 10 years honestly, but I've been disappointed by roogie this year. It's a shame what has happened with profar and how we have handled him.

I hope if he has success elsewhere that it's outside the AL west.

So if this team gets to the Wild-Card play-in game, does that make this season successful?

Opposing batters are hitting .213 against Cole Hamels this year, and his record is 31-7 since getting here. 145-97 for his career.

Pretty darn impressive.

Beltre has missed little better than 1/3 of this season. 71 games played with 57 RBI.

More than pretty darn impressive.
