Jesus christ you're fucking clueless. Which is why I said to "stick to PF."

Moneyball was about using different methods of evaluating players, and one of the things the A's valued highly at the time was OBP... which has a higher correlation with scoring runs than batting average. And it wasn't long after Moneyball that other teams started to put a bigger emphasis on the things the A's valued highly and they were forced to start looking elsewhere.
Moneyball is a bunch of nerds who don’t know anything about baseball. Hence why it has never been successful

stupid take. I will give you that sabremetrics is a tough sale for the average fan. Fans gravitate to weird things always.

But analysis for teams is a good thing. Especially if it allows for more ways to build a successful team. Like the Rays!!!

But legit question. What happens to the Aviators. Is there another team share a city with an affiliate?

Lol. About what I expected.
That is has never been successful? Sabermetrics has its flaws but you can build a team around analytics.

A's rendering of the stadium on the present site of the Tropicana.

Looks pretty weird.

Anyone know if the Aviators are still going to play in Vegas if this happens. I know Vegas has had great attendance for the Golden Knights but I don’t think the city can even support a MLB and AAA team.

The team has said it plans to stay in the Vegas area.

But that’s them saying it, before they’re sharing a smaller MLB market with an MLB club.

The lowest attendance in the Pacific and International Leagues were both teams sharing a market with their parent team. Astros and Braves affiliates respectively. And both AAA teams are owned by their parent company.

I could see the As buying the Aviators and keeping them in the area. Huge advantage to have the ability to call a guy up within an hour or two if need be. And then not worry about your AAA attendance.

I guess, but it seems to me they would want to change it up and move the Aviators somewhere else and give them Reno. Just to me, Vegas doesn’t have enough people to support a MLB and AAA team.

The A's are on their third winning streak of the season, at a whopping 2 games. Took 2 of 3 from the Pirates and now find themselves at 14-50, run differential sitting at -200.
