I'm not defending Chip ... he's without a doubt a liar. What I'm saying is that lying is commonplace in the NFL ... teams will tell people straight up that players are safe and the next day they're cut. Teams say that they have no interest in a player, yet the next day they're signed to a 4 year deal. You can't take anyone at face value ... teams even lie on a weekly basis on who's hurt ... deception is the name of the game.
