I drafted him this year as my second WR. How does his season look?

IMHO hes a regression candidate, vance mcdonald coming on, drafted james washington, AB there, and gonna run bell into the ground.

Also his TD rate is not realistic to repeat

good luck

Okay......Pittsburgh needs stability at number 2 receiver because without it they can lose the bigger games. Schuster will be fine, but in my PPR league I'm not too much for him because he's not gonna get number 1 targets.

After Juju took over the #2 job last season(Week 8)
Games AB 7, JSS 7
Games missed AB 2, JSS 2
Targets AB 79, JSS 53
Catches AB 49, JSS 41
Yards AB 768, JSS 686
TDs AB 6, JSS 5

Juju will be fine

Gonna go out on a limb (by not looking up any stats) to say that Juju shouldn't have any worries about Vance McDonald or any other PIT TE.

I would expect fairly similar numbers. There's no good reason to expect much less, and there's not significant room to go much higher unless Browns misses time. Only so many targets out there, and he's already got a big chunk

OF course he is a regression candidate... he had a good season as a rookie... The whole sophomore slump is another trend experts use to predict things... But lets face it, there is only a handful of them that can actually slump....

But there really is no reason to predict it though... He is the clear number 2 receiver, Bell had 400 + touches last year, so there can not be the fear of the Steelers to RUN MORE...

And even though Brown got hurt last season, Juju was not the number 2 immediately.... so there is no reason to expect less than 100 targets this season.... and with that he is a pretty decent fantasy WR...

sure, he is overdrafted... but i am not too worried about that mofo...

I think the issue with Juju is that he is a lock to be 'just fine' so that limits his ceiling. You have to make sure you're drafting him around the 'middle' of his value.

I also think James Washington might be pretty good. I know a couple of people in the 'draft' section of that board were big fans of his.

Does juju have any off field or personal issues?? I don't know much about his off field-ness... BUT if he is a model citizen and a model teammate, I don't see the push for Washington's immediate production...

Point is, that Juju has to disappoint, or an injury of either juju or Brown, for Washington to get significant playing time... and that makes me question whether he really can "steel" targets from Juju...

I don't think Washington has to produce immediately but I do think the Steelers have the best overall skill positions in the NFL so they're all competing for targets. Maybe Washington only gets a couple of targets but you know AB is going to be the main focus.

You've already mentioned that he is overdrafted but he'll be fine. Thats pretty much my opinion, too.

Thanks for all the replies. My starters at wide receivers last year were really disappointing. Not to worried about Vance Johnson. If he makes it through a 16 game season it will be his first. That along with his stone hands.

Take out the Detroit and Cleveland games last year.

42 receptions 581 yards 5 TDs.

Not a guy I'm targeting as a #2 guy in fantasy. But I'll take him as a third option. Doubt he's there waiting for me at that point.

but does anyone see him to be a high end #2?? I think he is ranked in the 20s for WR... so at BEST he is a low end #2...

SP posted this link the other day.

Fantasy football mock draft: 10-team non-PPR

I commented that the guy who took him 45th, 20th WR, would finish last.

It's a PPR and he went ahead of Tate.

He's not a low end 2 imo. He's a third/flex option.

No idea what his ADP is right now.

But I'm guessing higher than what i think it should be. But I am but one orang.
