Why? We all live by rules either at work or in the community that may not always make sense. Just act like an adult and follow them - it ain't that hard. I like my beer as much as the next guy, but if someone told me that they would give me $2 million to give it up for an entire year I would do it in a heartbeat. If this guy's problems go well beyond this then he needs to be in rehab ASAP.

Um - no. That is a convenient excuse. That is like telling a felon that he doesn't have to go to jail - just figure out a way to solve your problems. Who cares if you want to watch him play football. The NFL & NFLPA agreed on a set of rules & he broke them - multiple times & now he has to pay the penalty. End of story.
