It was his call apparently.......Everyone felt he wanted to walk away these past few weeks
Where are you reading that it was his call? Jon Heyman seems to think this was more the Yankees decision

Michael Kay to begin with, and a lotta talking heads in NY have said for weeks they think he would walk away............If he's managing next season, Heyman will be right...I doubt he will be managing......If it was his call, it was an awful call...

Heyman is doubling down, saying it was clearly the club's call. Said there was tension between him and front office all season that they did a good job keeping quiet.

No idea what his source is though.

Well John Farrell is available.
Act fast and beat the Phillies to it.

Yeah it was funny, Heyman reported that "you can bank" on Cashman coming back.

Yeah no shit Jon, have you seen how this team has been constructed?

Yes Hal isn't George, I feel pretty strongly he left this in Cashmans hands, and Cashman and Girardi did meet yesterday

No clue... no clue what path they SHOULD take... the good thing is that there should be a lot of interest since the Yankees are the Yankees AND they are on the short list of teams that could win the world series next season...

Not sure if I want a grizzled veteran or a spunky(rocko's dog) new guy...
Liked for the Rocko ref.

A-Rod is gonna be big as an analyst. He's a natural at it. I've been really impressed with him the past two years' worth of playoffs.

The team they put together this year is pretty solid - even Papi did well last night. And Kevin Burkhardt is so dreamy
