I like the new OC hire also. If he can do here what he did at Memphis with Paxton and Ferguson, I think the offense will more than hold it own.
Texas A&M to hire Memphis OC Darrell Dickey in same role

Now if we could only get the defense to do their part.

I guess that means he wasn't going to go without good recruiters...like at FSUx.

Now that he's left Free Shoes U, I'm free to say Jimbo is a decent person and a fierce competitor. He can make aTm a monster program. I understand why he had to get a fresh start somewhere. He was tied up with a lot of legacy problems and other white trash at FSUx.

I don't know. I kind of think, if he were that good, he would have made it work. I don't think he is a bad coach, I just see all the hype. We'll see.

Just hired Dickey from Memphis for OC/QB

Jimbo hiring coaches with an emphasis on recruiting

So an almost 60 year old coach that ran a 40 years olds offense and was not allowed to call plays. That guy? Very scared of him

Serious question. There is a rumor around that Brewster signed a 5 year deal at 1.2 million. Is that true?

Heard that Chavis might be going to the Pigs. His contract is up at A&M
That should be to the aggie good, and Arky's not good.
Either team, it will be to the good for LSU's anemic offense.

You mean a 58 year old coach from Houston, that has experience coaching in Texas, ties to HS coaches in the state, produced a 1st rd QB, and had the #4 offense in the country this year.

Would you trade your OC for him?

He hasn't called plays in years and he coached RBs at Memphis. I have 0 idea why you are talking about the job that Norvel did with Paxton Lynch. Nobody with an IQ over 80 would believe the Memphis offense was the result of Dickey

Pretty sure Jimbo calls the plays. Dickey is here mainly to reel in the recruits

So we both agree Droopdog was dropping some serious BS with his post fluffing up Dickey

So the assistant HC/Offensive coordinator did nothing but hold a clip board? Tell me again what position he played in college? Oh, yeah he was a QB. Cant imagine him having any effect on the passing game.

Again, would you trade your OC for him?

No. Hate Beck, but the guy is a proven recruiter. This hire reminds me of when Strong hired Led Koenning from MSU for his Texas ties.

Norvel, Chip Long, and Dickey were at Memphis in 2016. You hired the equivalent of Curly. Brewster is a good hire, though

Curly might have been a bit strong. The hire does seem like he hired an old guy with Texas ties for the sake of saying he hired a Texas guy. I could be wrong, maybe he kills it.

Outstanding.

The Official sign of surrender on a Football Message Board...Academic Smack.

I'll be honest though...if our offense had become as weak as your offense, I'd probably be
spending my time worrying about how things were going in American History Class, also.

Our tough times are over. FSUx's tough times are just beginning. This would be an excellent moment for semenholes to learn humility....because you're gonna need it.

It is going to be difficult, but I'll work on it.

btw...I'm hearing we are gonna try and move the UF game to the 11th game of the year instead
of the 12th.

We have been scheduling our 1-AA game before our toughest game of the year. The UF game.
After careful consideration we are now wanting to move the UF game before the 1-AA game.
