Maybe he knew he couldn’t succeed with Alex Smith in San Fran and the only option he had was Kapernick.

The new kid coming in is also a bit of a runner. I think he likes that wrinkle but doesn’t actively target those guys.

Will Patterson be able to run Harbaugh’s offense? He’s a dual threat QB while Harbaugh wants a pocket passer.

I'd rather have a dual threat QB given Michigan's OL, especially if the pass protection woes linger next year. Patterson has already played on a team with shitty pass protection.

He's a QB himself and developed guys like Luck, made noodle arm Alex Smith respectable, did a miracle with Colin X considering how much he sucks with accuracy and decision making, but since arriving at Mich, it's been a parade of stiffs and transfers. Higdon is a "pocket runner". He can only run within the confines of the blocking before him. He cannot break through on his own and does not have the speed for HR capability

He is hit and miss. Not the the type of back that can tote it 20 times and be effective. His YPC isn't going to be productive. He can have great games against the likes of Indiana and Maryland but not Penn St. or Michigan St
