Actually, historically Harbaugh has liked running QB's. He likes pocket passers who can scramble -- honestly, kind of like what MSU does. Kaepernick had a few hundred rushing yards every year under Harbaugh and Harbaugh's offense in college was a similar type.
they should feed higdon as their bellcow IMHO

We need a coaching staff that isn't a joke. Every unit is soft except for Don Brown and the defense and they play too aggressive at times.
Quite honestly, they need a Don Brown for the offense. The problem is we have a lot of nepotism on the offense. His friend for like 15 years is our OC, his son is the RB coach....it's a problem. The reason our defense is great is because Harbaugh identified the best DC in the country and went out and got him -- he had no prior ties to the program. We need to do that with the offense.

I think both him and Evans are great college RB's. They just don't get the opportunities they need or the scheme they need. If you put Higdon on any other major team, he's a national name.

Yup. We really need either Patterson to become eligible this coming season or one of the freshman need to step up.

You know more about your underclassmen than I do, but Patterson seems like the best option... if available.

Yes, very much so. But we have some theoretically talented guys coming in. McCaffrey has been here a year and then we have a couple guys in this current class coming in. All top 10 QB prospects out of HS.

I think Higdon is the more practical every-down type RB. Evans has more speed and shiftiness; probably better for use in the passing offense as a pass catcher.

Should get Enos or Matt Canada IMO. Enos is being discussed but I don't think they land him. I want a replacement for Drevno and Pep though and Jay Harbaugh is a garbage RB coach.

Someone will pan out, but having Patterson in the mix will make it all that much more competitive. Hopefully it works out... BIG is going to be VERY competitive next year.

You have to remember QB is not the only problem. They need a healthy and consistent Offensive Line and the WR corp is not being utilized properly due to Pep and lack of a WR coach. This entire offense is a mess.

Yes but let’s take a look at the quarterbacks Harbaugh has chosen according to Rivals.

Rudock- pro style QB
O’Korn - pro style QB
Peters - pro style QB
McCaffrey - pro style QB
Luck - pro style QB

Maybe he knew he couldn’t succeed with Alex Smith in San Fran and the only option he had was Kapernick.

your offense blows,
pters looked awful
you better hope shea patterson can play
why do they not feed higdon more? i dont get it
Higdon is a "pocket runner". He can only run within the confines of the blocking before him. He cannot break through on his own and does not have the speed for HR capability
