I am not going to read your comment...I responded to one you already made, hence the quote

That figures. It only says the truth. So I'll repeat it for you. JH has been in ann arbor for 3 years now. How much more time will he need to turn things around? Meyer after 3 years: Utah 2nd year undefeated, 2nd year @ Florida a Natty, his 1st year @ Ohio State went undefeated & 3rd year won a Natty. Jim Tressel: won a Natty his 2nd year. Nick Saban: his 2nd year @ LSU won the Sugar Bowl & his 4th year he won a Natty / @ Bama he won a Natty his 3rd year. Jimbo Fisher: his 3rd year he won the Orange Bowl & his 4th year he won a Natty.

What again has Jimmy Jam accomplished to be mentioned w/ these CFB coaches? Excluding Tressel. I only mentioned him because he own meeeechegan.

Thanks for the healthy steaming helping of hubris. If you want to know the answer? Harbaugh gets a minimum of 5 years. Yes 5.

Why? If for no other reason than the money they are paying him.

Because most Michigan fans are rational and patient.

He has the same record so far that Brady Hoke did. And they are pretty much heading in the same direction at this point.
That's bullshit. The quality of play on this team, especially on defense, is better than anything Brady Hoke produced (despite the same record). And given Hoke went 2-6 in his final 8 games in 2013, I'm guessing Harbaugh finishes better than Hoke in his 3rd year.

Not to mention the multiple coaches at big schools who have similar, or worse, records in their first 3 years.

Five years? That's one year longer than he's stayed at his three previous HC gigs.

Also, "he's really expensive" is an odd reason to tolerate lackluster results.

How many had two top ten recruiting classes in house when they showed up?

I vote Dantonio without Narduzzi.
The same Dantonio who won a NC as the DC at tOSU and had one of the best defenses in the country? That Dantonio?

2, and then he went 20-6 with them. That's great. But unfortunately he had two non top 20 classes in there as well.

And how many of those other coaches you were talking about had any top ten/fifteen classes when they walked in? Harbaugh had a HUGE jump start on any head coach currently in the BigTen not named Urban Meyer. And the two small bad classes are why he was able to sign 30 players the last two years.

I've never liked the guy, but I never understood all the hate he gets.

He built the foundation of a great football program at Stanford that continues today under David Shaw. His first three seasons with the 49ers were outstanding, reaching the NFC Championship game 3 times and the Superbowl once. He inherited a Michigan team that went 5-7 the year before he took over and has gone 25-8 since. In 2017 he had the nation's #5 ranked recruiting class and in 2016 had the nation's #8 ranked recruiting class.

They are not off to a great start this year, but Harbaugh is a good coach. He may be easy to dislike, but he has a great track record and I believe he has Michigan going in the right direction.

A guy who has won championships vs one who hasn't?
"won a championship" is a pretty lame determination. Hoke "won a championship" with Michigan.
