They can't fire guys when they get hired in early January because it's the middle of the draft process. So they get fired after the draft is complete.

Yeah. I think the Jets had a pretty strong draft and offseason, but just like @eaglesnut said, they wait until the after the draft to make these kinds of moves.

Yeah I don't think this speaks one bit to how they feel about their draft. They got by most accounts the best player in the draft at pick 6 and had solid selections throughout. Most have said the Jets did one of the best jobs in the league. This is just a new regime deciding they want to bring in their guys.
