They were not my '92 Pistons. In '91-92 I still lived in So. Cal and was a Lakers fan. Only the Celtics were despised more than the Pistons at that point.

I pretty much categorically deny your analysis of what Butler is doing with the Wolves and Teague's impact. Butler may have gone more I so in Chicago, but what was he working with? He and the Timberwolves are doing very well together. And yes, the team rise has been due to offense, but could be even better if they could stop their opponents from scoring. They have no shortage of offensive weapons, they could use some additional defense.

You'd have to be stupid not to. It's not that George is necessarily a great facilitator, it's that he's better at it than Westbrook or Melo. The biggest reason behind their current struggles is that they are trying to take turns rather than just moving the ball to the open player or guy with the hot hand. If you understood the game beyond stats, you would understand that.

He won't leave OKC to be the Lakers primary facilitator. Unlike OKC, the Lakers already have a facilitator. Something else you'd know if you actually understood the game.

So, all you've accomplished with your reply is proving everything I said in my post to be true.

And when did I say he'd be the Lakers' facilitator??? Nowhere? OK then...

I will say that once he joins the Lakers he will hinder the development of Ingram and Kuzma since he plays a similar position with a similar skill set. You can take that one to the bank.

It is beyond retarded to want George to be a facilitator on any team. I've followed him for seven years and know my own damn team. He'll continue to be an iso-heavy player that continuously plays hero-ball and takes tightly-contested jump shots. He did that during his later years with the Pacers, he's doing that currently in OKC, and he will continue to do that going forward.

    Next.

    Ingram would play the 3
    Kuzma the 4
    PG the 2

A guy with a world class basketball blog would know that.

    Well good luck with that.

@trojanfan12 The Lakers showed tonight what their potential could be when they snapped Houston's 14-game winning streak. LeBron is going to be the only game-changing free agent out there and unless you can get him, you might as well keep your core intact and not bring on too many big egos.

Again, I want PG on the Lakers at this point that way the whole world can see just how overrated he is.

I play daily fantasy NBA, and any PG starting against Minnesota is an auto-consideration to invest in. Purely, because of how bad Teague is as a defender.

Pretty much right here when you said it would be stupid to want him to be the main facilitator in OKC unless your goal is for him to bolt to the Lakers.

Once again, you have shown an inability to not only understand the game, but your own posts as well. While PG being the facilitator in OKC wouldn't be ideal, it would be better than Westbrook.

Not on a team like OKC where the facilitator is an iso player who doesn't like to share the ball. It's amazing how you continue to show that you have zero knowledge or concept about how the game is played and how teams work. I hate to break it to you, but what happens on your NBA 2K17 game or whatever, isn't really how the game works.

You know the names of the players. But as for how the game works...not so much. PG wasn't a facilitator in Indy because they had point guards who were facilitators. OKC doesn't.

I'm going to have to start charging you for these basketball lessons.

For all his faults, Lonzo Ball is already a fantastic facilitator. That is quite literally what he does best and why he was the number 2 pick.

I agree to a point. Another possibility that has been thrown out there is Boogie and PG to the Lakers. I'm warming to that one, although Boogies temperament scares the hell out of me. If that could be contained, I'd almost just as soon have that over the Lebron/PG idea.....almost.

Actually a well thought out post. Congrats.

Of course, then you had to let your overwhelming butthurt fuck it all up for you with this gem:

I think Boogie would be a fantastic fit on LA. If there's any coach that could possibly chill him out it's Luke. Former player, has the respect and clout to get him to haul it back in. But he'll also give him enough rope to let his emotions out. Draymond loves Walton, so I would think a similar relationship could be built between those two.

That's what I would hope for. I commented yesterday that the Lakers are finally back to being a stable franchise now that Jeanie, Magic and Pelinka are running things, so that stability could help as well.

Meaning that using him as a facilitator would lead to more OKC failures and furthur springboarding his Laker desires. My post had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with the Lakers point guard situation.

Dude, the reason George isn't a facilitator is the same exact reason Carmelo Anthony isn't a facilitator. It's just not in his game or DNA. And you can't not believe that if a four-time all-star hasn't been a facilitator by now, he would have already been one at some point. The fact that he was never a facilitator on a Pacers team that consistently hovered around 20th in total offense should tell you enough.

There's a reason his plus-minus is by far the worst of OKC's three alphas, and I believe that of Steven Adams' is higher than his as well - That reason is because most of those player take good shots, whereas George takes tightly-contested jumpers and bailing a defense out. I could live with an 8-for-26 shooting performance if that particular player makes the defense work. Westbrook and Carmelo do this (in spite of how much they hold the ball), George doesn't. Am I insinuating that Carmelo Anthony is a better player than George? No, but I will say he takes better quality shots and makes the defense work.

I haven't played video games to great depth since my college days...I'm going to be 30 in February.

 at George Hill being a facilitator.

There's a reason for my current avi...And it's because I really want George to go to the Lakers so my point could be proven.

These colors (purple and gold) were my high school's colors and I have been extremely adamant over the last decade or so that any dude that wears these colors by choice on a regular basis is probably gay.

In other words, it takes a lot for me to wear these colors and it should show just how much I want George on the Lakers.

@trojanfan12 You and I ought to make a bet at some point in the near future...If the Lakers miss the playoffs in 2019 with George, HurricaneDij becomes an NBA mod...If the Lakers make the playoffs in 2019 with George, HurricaneDij gets banned from the entire Hoopla website...

Minnesota lost to Brooklyn last night, 98-97. Tyus Jones and 11 points and one assist filling in for Teague - More proof that the ball stops moving when Teague is off the court...

I haven't heard anyone say that Paul George will be a facilitator - I think the idea would be to play him as the new shooting guard - with Lonzo Ball as the point. If you go to Lakersnation.com - Paul George gave high praise to the Lakers young team and called Ball the engine of the team. Now if desired, I think the Lakers could take Kuzma into the shooting guard position and leave George as the forward.
