Kevin Durant signed with Brooklyn under Roc Nation management. I've been told he's a top 3 or better Bball player in the known universe.
Jay Z was already gone from the Nets when that happened. He didn't sign with the Nets because Jay was there.

You don't think Jay Z n Durant's relationship had anything to do with KD signing with Brooklyn eh. At the same I don't Durant is still under Roc Nation management though I could be wrong and I believe Kyrie Irving currently is.

Of note. The reason Jay Z gave up his ownership share of the Nets was to avoid any conflict of interest due to his ownership/partnership of Roc Nation.

List of athletes under Roc Nation management.

@Breed are we really gonna do this? Durant wanted to go to the Knicks. Kyrie talked KD into coming to the Nets.

The Nets wanted no part or Kyrie, but were willing to deal with him if it landed them KD. KD wanted to play with Kyrie. KD did not go to Brooklyn because of Jay Z.

Jay Z was a minority owner for that Russian who had been sold the team.

I'm not totally opposed to Jay Z as a minority owner. I'm just worried he's gonna want to play GM and flood the roster with Roc Nation athletes the way LeBron has flooded the Lakers with Clutch Sports athletes.

We need an owner that is going to hire a football guy.

How would you feel about a deal that acquires Aaron Rodgers? That's a prediction by Michael Irvin. Not really that far-fetched looking at the history of the Skins. A high risk, low reward, multiple picks/players for 1 player trade who may be on the downward curve of his career.

Rodgers can still play. If he had weapons he'd still be playing at an elite level right now. His WRs have dropped everything this year. That said, no.

This is a QB rich draft. They need to take one and let Heinicke play until he's ready. With Payne, Sweat, and Young due for paydays, we can't tie up that amount of money into an great but aging QB.

I draft a QB and see if we can get Sean Payton in here.

Bezos and Jay make a lot of sense. The owners are already making money with both of them. Amazon has the Thursday games. Jay has the halftime show. It just makes sense for the other owners.

Dan could try and sell to someone else out of spite, but I still think Bezos makes Dan an offer even he can't refuse.

I don't know if Rodgers is washed up and his WRs have dropped some passes. He's missed some passes as well though. He missed a huge one against the Skins, That said, I agree. He'd cost too much in draft/player capital and his salary would eat up a whole cap space.

It sounds like the kind of move the current ownership would make or at least used to make.
