He thought he checked his swing and did the Beltre and pointed to 1st. The home plate ump called him out without asking for help. They were exchanging pleasantries and then he tossed him.

I believe we're out of options with him, so he's here to stay or he'll be hurling for someone else.

And you're right on with the assessment. There is no reason to not think he can't be competitive at this level.
