They won't fall to 4th, and they are still the favorites to come out of the East. But clearly this team is not as good as the (full strength) Warriors, Spurs, or maybe even Rockets.

Only way they repeat is with a big dose of injury luck or eject the heart of the other team luck.

No shame in that, takes a ton of luck to win rings usually. But it's a simple fact at full strength they are nowhere near the best team.

I don't think they'll fall that far but in all honesty a few weeks I never thought they'd fall below 1st

No. But they have a heavy schedule ahead. They dont have alot of depth so maybe they are resting there way to the 3rd spot

Honestly, the Cavs looked to be in complete disarray around this time last year also. Then the playoffs came and they immediately flipped the switch and found a new level entirely.

I think the most likely case is that something similar happens again this year, but Cavs fans have every right to be concerned. The East is not the open and shut case it was two months ago.

6 straight seasons.

That is how many years in a row a LeBron team has won the East.

I don't care where they fall to. As long as they have LeBron, the road to the Finals goes through Cleveland.

No, but LeBron will have more hair fall out between now and then.

This is actually not true. They were really good in March/April last year. They went 15-6 in March/April last year. I did not include the April losses to Indiana and Detroit because James was out for rest against Indy and against Detroit on the final day of the season almost all of their starters were obviously resting so yeah this is nothing like last year.

They were peaking playing pretty damn good basketball in March/April.

If you compare that to this year, they're currently 6-9 in March and their defense is horrendous which wasn't the case last year.

If LeBron isnt worried- im not worried

LeBron James on the Cavaliers slipping to second in the East behind the Celtics: "How much does it matter to me? It matters more that we're playing better basketball than where we're at, and if that results in us getting the number one seed, getting the number two seed, three or whatever the hell it is, I want us to be playing better basketball. That's what it comes down to. I'm not worried about anything. I feel like when we're playing Cavaliers basketball, when we're playing the type of basketball that we know we're capable of playing, when we're at full strength, we can start off on the road. We've done it before."

I hope they do fall to 4th, maybe it will give them some motivation. They are playing like they never played in their life together.

i hope they rest guys and dont give into the alarmists and panickers and complainers.

How do you "play better" if you aren't playing?
I guess not playing is the only way people can't see how bad they would look if they were playing?

Nah - he will paint his head or whatever it is that he does at times to make it look like he has more hair.
