You have to wonder... would the Cavs have made this deal if they didn't have some kind of assurance from LBJ or his agent that he was ready to come home? If he doesn't.. the Cavs are in a bad place.

From what I'm reading they should have enough if the trade is approved. But I don't see LBJ coming back under any circumstance. He's just stringing all the teams along until he gets what he wants.

The Cavs are in for some disappointment IMO.

I like the trade for the Celtics in the long term. You get a 1st round pick & a young big you can develop that is cheap. All you had to do was eat Thorton's salary for a season. In the short term, the fans should have already realized that the Celtics weren't competing for a championship this season, this move just further accentuates that.

Highly unlikely, and probably not helpful. This team is really far away from being good. Adding Kevin Love gets you in the playoffs, but does not make the Celtics relevant.

Keep those picks, draft some talented youngsters and look to make a splash in free agency in 2015 or 2016. The Celtics will be back soon if they stick to the plan. Kevin Love would just be a band aid at this point.
