My guess is he leaves for Arkansas on his own terms or gets fired from Auburn. Easy choice if you look at it that way.

Even if he was to coach at AU next season, he is on the shortest of leashes. Job security has to be a large factor.
He is on a short leash of his own doing. Make no mistake he was calling the plays until after the LSU job and there has been a dramatic change since. Changes that should've been made 2 years ago and we still run high school passing routes.

If he wants to stay fine but it won't be any big loss.

Crazy how two coaches in the past decade might be on their way out of Auburn after both took the team to the national championship.

I dont know how either pulled it off

Terry Bowden went 11-0 at Auburn.

The talent is usually there to make a run.

We certainly know how the first one pulled it off.

Incredibly stupid string of ADs and over stepping boosters.

This has been a big downfall of Auburn IMO. Particularly the Boosters who get too involved and think they know football.

Come on, when it comes to idiot ADs and bad hires, Tennessee tops everyone.

Your AD got a tiny bit smarter by actually firing Butch Jones before the year was over. Still waited a few extra weeks too long, but at least they didn't let him finish out the year like they did Dooley killing your program more and more every day.

WTF happened to the SEC? A few bad hires and that conference is a mess now.

Yes but he is hanging out in the Bahamas instead of hiring our Coach before the December 20th date. We are bleeding recruits. We likely lost Jimbo Fisher to Texas A&M who was the best option out there. It is an unmitigated disaster once again in Knoxville.

How is your best option 4-6 3 seasons after winning a NC? Your fall back option is better and it's cheap to move from Memphis to Knoxville

If true, that would be the 2nd coaching hire in a row Arkansas managed to pull away from a better program. My initial thought when I heard this was no way but it does seem to be gaining some steam
Why is Wisconsin a better program? I'd think they are the same.

Wisconsin is higher ranked this year but overall, both are what I consider "mid tier" in their conferences.

Its not just this year. Wisconsin has been a more successful program for a good while now. With their conference setup they are able to compete for a conference title year in and year out. Bielema and Anderson would still have jobs and be succeeding at Wisconsin. Instead they are unemployed and probably looking at a coordinater or mid major HC position

He'll leave Auburn for Atlanta next week. Does that count?
