A lot of noise about Gus and the administration at Auburn not being on the same terms, and rumors are circulating that Gus may go to Arkansas after this season.

One of the execs of the company I work for was actually the President of the Alumni Association at Auburn, and I talked to him about this and he did say that he had heard the same rumors.

Spoke to a friend who is an Alum at Aubie and he said the rumors are swirling big time around the program. Supposedly Gus and the higher ups dont see eye to eye on a few things.
Gus supposedly wants a short bus with the name Gus painted on it, to be a new mascot for the team, and the admin said equating the team with a short bus was too lofty a goal for the program.

His wife has older parents that still live here so she will have some input as well. He's always called it his dream job but if they beat Alabama he has no choice but to stay.

They supposedly met with people when Auburn played here earlier this year. I just hope we don't pay a ridiculous amount to try to get him here when we can get someone like Norvell a lot cheaper.

My guess is he leaves for Arkansas on his own terms or gets fired from Auburn. Easy choice if you look at it that way.

Even if he was to coach at AU next season, he is on the shortest of leashes. Job security has to be a large factor.

Arky would be a better fit for Gus. So far in his career he has shown himself to be an Elite
Coach one year and an also ran for 3 years. Then elite for one year.

Arky would love to be relevant once every 4 years. Auburn would like it to be a bit more
consistent than what Gus has shown.
