If Dak is a "RB playing QB" then why does he have a better QBR than Wentz over their first two seasons? Does that make Wentz a RB, too?
It's not fair to compare Wentz to Dak. IMO Wentz is one of the best backups in the league...:heh:

Dak haters don't like to acknowledge he was pretty good his rookie year while Wentz wasn't :noidea:

Just something I have noticed. Now we have gone full circle saying the team with a superior offensive supporting cast has a great QB; the difference being the Eagles had a D while the Cowboys really didn't last year if we're being serious.

So you think Dak is a RB because they have a mediocre defense?

Oh, and I think Dallas will cut Bryant and draft a WR in the first round.

Well I agree with one thing you are saying--this. I think Dallas takes Courtland Sutton.

Thinking that is what Moose meant is like saying A + B = potato chip:suds:

Dez Bryant = Roy Williams

Wiping their asses with that money would be more useful than giving it to this lazy chud.

One big issue to consider for Dez optimists who think he will bounce back on another team: he reportedly took a few years to learn the Cowboys' basic playbook for him. He would run the wrong routes and cause Romo to throw picks.

I don't think he would do well in a place like New England or New Orleans with more complex offenses.

mentally yes, he can be an OK posession receiver adn redzone threat but a huge downgrade from what 3-4 years ago at this point

Well that's a tough question to answer and a easy question.
Dez #1 problem is he does not run his routes crisply and the same way every-time so the QB can know where he is going to be and deliver the ball. That has been his MO since he was in college and he could just let his athletic ability run the show and not have to be a disciplined crisp route runner. That will get you by until your body starts to betray you and injuries take their toll with time.
The smart thing would have been to trade him before the last contract and move on hoping to draft younger players with better discipline in route running but alas that ship has sailed.
The Cowboys are now faced with a problem cut him and save 8 million in cap dollars or pay him this year and cut him next off season or the nuclear option ask him to take a pay cut and risk a disgruntled player for the season ahead.
I would ask for a pay cut with along with putting in incentives to get him back to the money he was going to make this year to try to keep Dez from being a distraction. If you get your New shiny toy in the draft and Dez is being a distraction then its just time to move along.

I see Josh Norman is lobbying for Dez, saying he is still an elite baller. That tells you all you need to know. His competitors want him to stay, as this is one guy overrated Josh Norman can shut down all day. It's like a bye week for Norman.

You know he is going to end up in Philly, right?
