Comparing stats between Unitas and Brady is about as productive as comparing their hairstyles.

Agreed stats in different era's are worthless Body of work vs there contemporaries is the only way to measure

He's already high on the list now with Joe Montana still popular among many as the alternative. With another SB ring, it seems kind of pointless.

There will always be people's personal favorites. i.e. Dan Marino, Elway etc but Brady's accomplishments will always be too much to ignore.

But he hasn't won it yet.. Neither of the next two games are sure wins by a long stretch.

So what is the benchmark? You seem to set it in a manner so you always have an out. Why not simply just admit you love Joe more and it doesn't matter if Tom beats him in every way possible from a statistical view. (Which Tom is basically doing already.)

The benchmark? Joe Montana. HOF regular season career and performed at an even higher level not only than his own numbers, but substantially higher than the guy getting floated around here as 'the best ever' even though that guy plays in an era where passing is a joke in comparison.

Brady's stats are superior mainly due to the era he plays in.

You realize Unitas's stats weren't all that great right?

So he was regarded as the greatest QB for the first 50 years of the league or so, and still thought of greatly by people who recognize the league didn't start in 2000.........even though he stats weren't all that great?

Unbelievable.

Brady is better than Montana, you are simply having trouble coming to terms with it.

Dear Lord, Is that Daniel Day Lewis the best actor on the planet

Its close I actually think Dicaprio might be, but at least best young actor. Departed, Blood Diamond, catch me if you can, The man in the ironmask with the musketeers, Who's eating Gilbert Grape, Basketball diaries etc etc. DDL only does a handful of movies and he kills each role

Oh yeah, I have no problem with Leo

The role he pulled off in Blood Diamond is still one of my favorites

Yeah, I don't buy that it was any greater than it is now. There have been lots of AFC power teams the last couple of decades.
Name them; any that compare to the Bears, Redskins, Giants or Cowboys Super Bowl teams of the 80s and early 90s. I can't think of any. And the thing about that time period is all those team were good for most or all of that time period.

It's pretty simple.....

If you're a Patriots fan and like Brady........YES
If you hate the Patriots and Brady..............NO

When Brady retires he'll have all of the records and the haters will always hate.

These polls are bullshit.

Salary Cap. That's the biggest difference between then and now.

One thing is for sure...this post was definitely simple-minded.
