Your right about Bradshaw. Everyone thinks of Steel Curtain, but they had quite a few HOFers on offense. And Brady lucky once and unlucky twice

u r correct 5 on offense and 3 on defense are in the hall heres how they stack up

bradshaw played with 8 HOFs

Aikman-6
montana-6
Elway-3
marino-1

Brady has 1 Seau so far and most likely Moss :suds:

Montana's and Brady's no#s are way better than Elway across the board, regardless of teams or systems. Elway is a top 5 guy imo and no#5 but never mentioned in the GOAT discussion

That's because Elway was in a running offense his first 10 years in the league, basically. Steve Watson called Dan Reeves' offense the Edsel System, and basically said that he cared more about pass protection, not attacking a defense.

Montana and Brady were/are in offenses that flood zones and rely on shorter passing, which has a tendency to make your stat line look a whole lot better. Heck, even Steve Bono put up good numbers in 1991 in the SF system.

Yet, unlike these and other great QB's Brady has not played with any HOF'ers. Moss will be the one exception when his time comes but those years did not turn into a Championship.

In the 80's, Elway didn't have any Hall of Famers as teammates on the offensive side of the ball (except for Tony Dorsett in 1988, but he was near the end). And, while he played with a loaded offense his last few years, and had some great players (like Sharpe, TD, Rod Smith, and a great O-line), he never played with a Moss or Gronk who is downright scary.

We have Elway in top 5 any QB to 5 make SB's and win 2 is unbelievable, esp when there wasnt parity, and NFC was so strong, now its even playing field.. IF Elway had this Denver team , would have won prob 2 more SB's

You're missing Mike Vrabel and I think also Tom Ashworth. And I'm guessing those figures are regular season only, since Givens caught at least half that amount in the postseason alone.

Michael Hoomanawanui caught one in 2013. Solder and Develin of course caught ones this postseason. And somehow Edelman isn't on the list.

By the time he finally won, there was reasonable parity.
