They'll (ISU) still beat Texas.

That's a better win for the Hawks than most college football fans understand.

As a team, it might be disappointing, but I think it was a good W for Stanley. This was his first game where he had to deal with a "clutch" situation. Wasn't great, but he turn the ball over or anything like that.

Stanley was solid. Missed some throws, but no turnovers, on the road in his second ever start. I'll take that anytime.

Pretty high bar if 330/5 TDs/0 INTs isn't good enough lol

I'm pretty impressed with what ISU showed today. They could make some noise in the B12.

They're definitely better than Tech, Baylor and Kansas and I think they can compete well with KSU, TCU, Texas and WVU. Just beat who they should and sneak out 1 or 2 more and they should win 6 or 7 games

I have been saying that ISU will get 4+ Big 12 games, something that hasn't been done since McCarney was coach.

ISU was much better than I expected. The offense is going to make people go crazy this year.

Do our WR have something against laying out and diving to catch a ball?

There were at least 3 different passes where the intended target could have dove to catch it but didn't.

I was surprised how good Montgomery played. I hated watching him but at the same time I was enjoying watching him. He is an exciting running back, but unfortunately it was to the expense of Iowa's defense.

ISU's defensive front surprised me. Not just they made Iowa's OL struggle at times, but they did good moving sideline to sideline.

I was also listening to the radio after the game and Ferentz mentioned that Josey Jewell's injury wasn't a sprained ankle, but more achilles injury.
