go to the stats of the FA's pitchers, only pull up the last 14 or 21 days and take a look at whose available...guys like Whitley and Hahn should be there but in that small of a league their may be even better ones, right now teams are bring up guys, sometimes really good guys, for injuries and tryouts...grab 1 of them and see how they do for you while your "waiting" for a deal to happen if you need pitching quickly.

The people here think I need pitching quickly basically to stock up on two starts. I have tried trading for pitching, no dice. Whitley may be the best available. I just don't stock up on a bunch of inconsistent pitchers.

Well, he is playing the best hitting lineup in the AL tonight. Not a very good spot for any pitcher, let alone a matchup dependent one like Whitley.

Yeah I picked up Hahn as well. I didnt get Blackmon but Byrd is already having a good week. Idc I don't need Blackmon, all he was was protection from someone benefitting with him. I have Jones and Trout and Springer, though he's in a adjustment. Now I cannot start all three of Kipnis, Rendon, and Ramirez week to week because none are OFs and I only have 2b and u spot open for them.

Actually, the exact opposite of that is true. Going to Washington isn't so bad.

Everyone has off days and the Nats are clearly better than the Sox, but the Sox play in a hitter's park and the Nats offense has not been all that great this season. Granted, with Ramos and Harper on the way back, their lineup looks a lot stronger. I don't think I would stream against the Nats, but I would not bench a good 2 starter because I was afraid of them either.

I am not saying that Arrieta is a must start (is he even a 2 start guy next week?), it depends on your other options, but he is worth considering at least.

Arrieta is 3-0 1.29 era last 3 but career 0-3 5.90 era vs bos but not this year
0-1 6.84 era vs wash also not this year

Its a tough call cause both sox and nats offense are not very good but he hasnt done well vs either team
