The conclusion I've come to is that the Big 10 isn't good this year.

I don't think the conference will have more than 1 team make the Sweet 16.

a team that was hitting 35% from 3pt land went off and hit 50% (13-26). That was 12 extra points (35% is 9). Looking at their season average they typically only hit 7.5 3pters a game, so there's another 4.5pts. Miles / our D has been crappy against 3pts all year. Personally speaking i don't mind the strategy of giving up more 3s because they should be a lower % shot, but man, teams seem to light it up against us.

The thing is, most major conference players can shoot pretty well. When we are leaving them wide open, it's not surprising that they would shoot well. We need Jordy to develop so we don't have to double the post so much. I think he's on his way...there was one time I can remember that we didn't help and he defended well.
