We found the LSU fans to be really poor sports. We watched a game there against Alabama and I was not wearing LSU colors so I was naturally considered to be an Alabama fan. Yea, I like Bama but I was wearing a fucking white shirt with a Polo logo on it and I was being supportive of good plays by both teams. I finally got so mad that at half time we asked around and some Alabama fans started giving us Alabama stuff to wear until my wife and I had on Tide shirts, Tide hats and we were waving Tide pennants. We even moved over to the Tide section where we all screamed ourselves hoarse watching Bama win in overtime. Fuck LSU fans. The only description for Colorado fans the three times I attended games in Boulder is drunk, doped up and stupid.

I was at that game. I saw like 5 fights. It really wasn't my scene. I prefer drinking in the Grove and watching a night game at Ole Miss. Best tailgate I have ever experienced...... 3 times

#1 Orange Bowl before Miami left. We talk about loss of tradition but that place was the shit 20 years ago. Now they have a downtown mausoleum. Would have loved to see that place when it was rocking.

the orange bowl was great. was there for the 1994 FSU/nebraska game.

I've been to Ohio State and USC. There are many similarities. LSU would be interesting. But if I am in Hawaii, attending a football game will not top my list of "things to do."
I picked Hawaii because that means if I'm watching a football game in Hawaii at the very least I'm in Hawaii.

We saw an Alabama fan with a hunting scope (he looked like a pirate scanning the horizon) who was loudly telling everyone what was going on all around the stadium and the sidelines. He was so drunk and so happy when Alabama scored in overtime that he threw the damn thing in the air. He immediately started looking around to see where it had gone. The scope had bounced off a metal railing and was getting kicked around by the crowd. He was almost crying when he finally got it back. I bet the reticles were torn to hell and gone.

Washington - intrigued by the notion of noshing smoked salmon and cracked king while tailgating.
Tennessee - done knobby kneeland several times...always a treat hanging with hillbillys.
Virginia - met the lovely & ravishing "Diane", who cured a potentially debilitating case of DSB for me.
East Carolina - best, most seriously slobbery fucking drunk fanbase in footballia.
Nebraska - never been; imagine it being the diametric opposite (in re: visible teeth) of Tennessee.

yeah, I'm thinking the best bet in Baton Rouge (if you're not a LSU fan or opponent fan) is to pretend you are a corndog. Seems the safest option.

I want to visit some stadiums that boast awesome student sections....

....I consider Kirk Herbstreit an expert in this matter, since he's been to many many venues....

....and just today, he released his two best student sections in the nation:
Kirk Herbstreit thinks these two schools have the best student sections in the country

So... my five would be topped by:

Wisconsin
Penn State

and the next three would be:

Nebraska
Army/Navy
Clemson

1. Tennessee - If I hadn't gone to OSU, I seriously gave a lot of thought to UT, just for the hell of it.

2. Wisconsin - This one will happen sooner rather than later. One of the more underrated fanbases. Wish there were some on the board.

3. Notre Dame - For a big game, like USC, this would be hard to top

4. Alabama - Big stadium full of history. I'm hoping they have a home/home with OSU some time in my life

5. Washington - Beautiful scenery and definitely not a normal experience

That is a great call. Didn't think of them. I'd replace them with Oregon on my list.
