I went fishing today

'round these parts we call 'em brim or sunfish. I've got a lake on my family's farm that is full of brim and large mouth bass. Sometimes we'll catch 20 brim a piece in just an hour or two.

Brim are so easy to catch at this lake that try to use lures to big for them to bite. Brim are fun but I want those monster bass, last year we caught a ton of 5+ lb. bass.

I remember when I was a kid my grandpa used to love bullhead. It's all he fished for sitting in his chair. He'd catch a pile of big yellow belly bullheads and I'd have to clean them. I damned near pucked everytime because they their guts stink.

husker_grl even helped clean them, wasn't so bad..

I assume you cleaned them outside? Try cleaning them in an enclosed environment, like a kitchen without any breeze to carry the stench away. lol

actually we did have to clean them in the kitchen, i was unaware that my tackle box had been raided and didn't have a knife while at the lake, just opened a window and the smell carried eventually
