The nation is rooting for the Rams, except a few places.

In addition to "spygate", that was also the year NE got to the SB with help via the "tuck rule" vs. Oakland in the AFCDG.
Don't forget it was also the same season as the 911 World Trade Center attacks. With the "Patriots" team name and their colors of "Red, White and Blue" there are many who believe an 'arrangement' was made.

I am pro Patriots, but I like the LA Rams too. As far as the non call that everyone is bitching about, as a Lions fan I can top that.

Turns out some of the officials were on Jerry Jones "Party Bus" earlier in the year.

Dean Blandino: Party bus 'had nothing to do' with Cowboys no-call

To make matter even worse, it would have been the Lions 2nd playoff win in 61 years.
There are bad calls in every game. If a person would take the time to dissect every game and look at the officiating, they will see bad calls and non-calls of both teams. A person shouldn't just focus on one bad call in any one game.

Didn’t the Saints win right after Katrina?

A few years later, but it was the year of the rebuild of that city. That's probably what you remember. :thumb:

I seriously doubt the state of Missouri is for the Rams. They weren't popular their in the first place, and what fans they did have, hate them for leaving.

Rams snuck in on a bad call. Not the Best team in the AFC. MY "after tbe Bengals season is over" Boy Brady is the GOAT! He is mad as Hell and embarrassed after last seasons Super Bowl loss! Going to put on a show in Atlanta:

Patriots 42
Rams 24ish
"Rams snuck in on a bad call" you say? This article is interesting!!!!

The side judge (No. 60) was waving off the down judge (No. 13) from throwing a flag.

This is a prime example of people seeing what they want to see. The side judge extends his left hand in the direction of the down judge, but he’s clearly motioning toward Payton, who is not allowed to move beyond the 32-yard line on either side of the field under Rule 13 of the NFL Rulebook.

If a coach or player runs beyond the 32, they’re subject to a penalty, and the hand motions from the side judge are clearly directed toward Payton. The down judge also uses his right hand to indicate to Payton that he has to return to the bench area, but multiple video angles show the side judge continuing to extend his left arm in Payton’s direction even after he passes the down judge.

Yes, the down judge appears to reach for his flag before signaling incomplete pass, but both officials signaled incomplete pass before the side judge scurried downfield to direct Payton to move back.

Had Payton remained outside the bench area, he would’ve been subject to a 15-yard penalty, which would’ve pushed Wil Lutz’s go-ahead 31-yard goal back to 46 yards.

Very interesting, I missed that.

You are correct, the Rams are not the “Best team in the AFC”. They are in the NFC.
