The Nets and I don't think it goes past 5, maybe 6 games.

KD and Irving are their superstars with a guy like Simmons who can pass, rebound, and defend. Basically the Nets version of a younger Dray.

They are deep with a starting 5 of:

Irving
Harris
KD
Simmons
Claxton

A bench of

Mils
Curry
Cam Thomas
O'Neale
Warren
Morris
Sharpe

That is a deep squad. They can shoot, rebound, and defend.

My pick: The Nets in 6.

But then, Kyrie would take game 4 off for load management. Warriors win.

Then Simmons would shoot a combined 1-3 from the field in games 5 and 6, both also Warrior wins.

In game 7, hot shooting from Klay and Steph keep in close. With the Warriors up 3 in the closing seconds, KD hits a beautiful step back jumper from the wing, but his toe was on the line for a long 2.

Warriors win in 7!

Warriors in six. Both have great supporting casts. The warriors play well as a unit and I trust Steph and Klay in the playoffs.
I trust KD but I only trust Kyrie to come up small in a big moment.

In order for the Nets to even reach the finals, it is inferred that Kyrie didn't go on sabbatical, Kevin didn't go ape shit and demand another trade midseason, Ben didn't get a note from his therapist to get paid for not working and Nash got fired.....

I don't think the Nets will get anywhere near the finals. Too many headcases on the team who are also injury prone. If somehow they do get there Warriors in 3. Yes 3!

You're right. I was thinking about that same thing, too, that if the Nets were to make the Finals, it very likely means that Kyrie and Simmons are focused and playing well. If that were the case, then the Nets would be who most pundits are picking, just like how most pundits picked the Celtics over the Warriors. Anything can happen and it really just comes down to execution. Whatever the outcome turns out to be, I don't think it will feel predetermined. If Wiseman were to become a good player, then maybe the Warriors are the slight favorite.

Warriors in 7 is my homer's pick.
