Humiliation day for the B1G

What else is new? Ever since UF beat tOSU in 2007, it's been humiliation year in and year out for the the B1G, or so it seems. There are still a lot of excellent players coming out of the B1G and lots of great football, but for one reason or the other, they have usually failed out-of-conference. I do expect Urban Meyer to continue building a powerhouse, and I think MSU is in a good place.

Yeah, this whole thing started because Auburn got snubbed out of the 2005 BCS title game. After that, the SEC went on a full blown media blitz to make sure their conference winner made the National Title Game. It'll be interesting to see what happens this year. All the power conferences will be campaigning hard for sure. B1G is gonna have a tough sell. I think the SEC, Big 12 and Pac 12 will all have a team in the playoff. If Florida State goes undefeated, then they're in for sure, and I think the B1G is locked out of the playoff. If Florida State is not undefeated, then I think it becomes a toss-up between a second SEC team, FSU and the B1G winner (assuming tOSU can remain undefeated, or if it is MSU, that they win the rest of their games).

Lost in the high profile blowouts is that Iowa needed a fucking miracle to win. They had to score 14 points in the last 3 minutes or something.

I prefer to look at it as at least Iowa was talented enough to score 2 TDs and hold their opponent to a 3 and out in the final 4 minutes.

The Big 10 is in trouble, they aren't going to get a team in this playoff because Ohio State won't go undefeated and Michigan State (the best team in the conference) just got thumped by Oregon.
