Hugh Freeze out at Ole Miss

Hugh wasn't hiring hookers for himself, he was probably hiring them for RECRUITS

Ole Miss doesn't want that to be the story, so he took the fall. But that's out there.......

The NCAA didn't even get him. It was the school.

If it's found out later that the school knew it was widespread with the assistants, which it has to be, and promoted one to interim, and did nothing until the season is over, then the NCAA will drop the hammer on them.

Best way now for the school is to act all surprised and clean house and pretend they never knew about it but are doing everything they can to clean it up.

It may help them from "the worst that could happen" to "almost the worst that could happen"

I didn't see that anywhere. I did see where they mentioned they noticed other call patterns that were alarming, but no mention on what it was.

If it's that, oh boy.

That's who came to my minds as well. Gawd what a great match that would be. The Mississippi BBQ commercials alone would be worth every penny they paid him.

Also, Les Miles would be a great nab for them right now (if he would want it) and then let him put HIS assistants/ staff in place this winter imo. Be good for the SEC west too as far as LSU game and recruiting wars where he is familiar with the areas.

I agree. It's not hard to connect the dots to see what was going on. The fact that he did it and didn't have anyone to give him plausible deniability is insane.

With everything the NCAA has on them he probably loses his job anyways. But now he will be almost as toxic as Briles.

Last night was many of y'all's worst nightmare and I understand. Ole Miss will survive but it's not over yet. I alluded to this on another topic and made a mistake by offering my inbox up to one person. I went to sleep shortly after 10 and woke up to 63 pm's this morning. I hope each of you understand, I can't sit and answer each in detail. I cant imagine what someone important went through last night with phone calls, text, and other avenues of communication.
This is a short synopsis of what I was told even before the news hit.

1. About CHF, I'm not going to crucify the man and his family here so I will state very little. Surprisingly, escort service calls are not what many of us thought would bring him down this week. They were a shock! There is much more and worse, to me, that is out there. Look for much more embarrassment.

2. NCAA: this will or likely, have a large affect on CHF personally. We can not defend him now. The LOIC is pretty much a lock meaning all the talk about his future as a coach, well it won't be in the NCAA. How many "show cause" years will he receive?

3. NCAA affect on us: lies are the worst thing that can happen while dealing with the NCAA. You want to know who screamed "Yahtzee" last night? That's right, the NCAA. This will affect our case and our penalty. All we can do now is put our hats in our hands and beg. I was told a couple weeks ago, they wanted a 3 year bowl ban, 15 scholly loss each of the next 2 years, 2 additional schollies each year for the next 3, 5 years probation, and forfeit all games from 2013 forward.

Will all this happen, who knows? What I do know is, our leaders have a much tougher road to navigate now than we did a couple weeks ago.

This man, who all of us believed in at one time or another, has crippled The University of Ms. I have to look at it as water under the bridge and move forward. We must collectively embrace Matt Luke and the staff, support them, support the player's, love our University, and most of all hold our heads up because 1 man did this, not us Rebels!

All will eventually, but there needs to be the "morals optional" leader to make the move first.

Texas and Alabama have to fake present themselves as "above it all" snotty programs for a few weeks.

Seems like something that LSU/Orgeron would be down for immediately.....

I would bet money we see a lot of decommits heading to Baton Rogue.

If the Ole Miss guy is right about sanctions (which he could be but they will be negotiated down substantially) that would kill Ole Miss for at least a decade. If they just do 10 scholarships for 2 years it will still take them a decade to recover and probably longer.

Miss State fans have to be celebrating in the streets because Ole Miss just turned the entire state recruiting to them, LSU and Alabama.

Ole Miss didn't really have a class worth pursuing......I'm more interested in the kids that signed last year knowing all this was coming.

Gotta be some transfers......interested to see who bails first. There were several big time recruits he landed from the state of Texas that we couldn't convince were headed into a buzzsaw of violations.
