Which I have no problem with because he was kicked out of the game. But to suspend him also?I was always taught that you can use your elbows to protect the ball but you have to move your entire body in a pivot-like motion, which JR clearly was not doing. Instead, JR was totally clearing space recklessly in reaction to the swat without looking at all at where/if the elbow landed. That warrants some reprehension.
I'm with you, JD, on the suspension being a bit overkill and wouldn't put it past Stern to manipulate a series.
Probably influenced a bit by JR's reputation too, which I totally disagree with being a factor in these things.
I disagree. Richard Hamilton did the same exact thing to the dude on Toronto a few weeks ago and he does not have a bad reputation at all. If you elbow someone intentionally around the neck area you're going to get suspended
So why did Terry feel the need to hack JR so hard "allegedly" going for the ball? Then Terry has to be restrained after flopping.Throwing out a player in the 4th quarter with the game already decided is not much of a penalty.
If this happened in the first quarter I don't think he gets suspended honestly.
Looks like Boston is trying its best to avoid being swept. Leading by about 20 at the half.
well, that went away pretty quickly
