Western Michigan (9-4)
San Jose State (6-6)
New Mexico State (3-9)
ISU (2-10)
Baylor (4-8)
KU (8-5)
KSU (5-7)
CU (5-7)
Clemson (7-6)

Only 3 teams had winning records (1 was a mid major) and the OOC schedule was awful. Give Strong that type of schedule this year and Texas easily wins 9 games.

You do realize that was the year KU went to a BCS bowl right? And it was also the year that Texas beat Nebraska 28-25. From the look of things, it was fortunate for Texas that they missed Kansas that year.
