Move him to DT.

Watch him doninate OL
He'd have leverage issues still. He'd be the among the very biggest Edge/lineman already. The only 6'7" lineman I can think of off the type of my head is maybe Tanoh Kpassagnon and he is a massive project, albeit almost 90 pounds smaller; though he probably has like 3% body fat max looking at pictures of him.

I wouldn't be surprised if the kid develops health issues that prevent him from participating in competitive sports entirely.

For example, I'm guessing most "abnormally tall" people (over 7 feet) never play organized basketball, either because they lack the coordination, or for some other health-related issue.

he might have health problems but then again he might even slim down. After all he is only an 8th grader but it's really hard to believe he'd slim down much if at all but he could... I want to see a report on him when he is a senior in HS

Probably be a better basketball player if he indeed tops out at 6-10 to 7-feet tall.

Even if everything physical works out perfectly for him, he's got a huge task ahead of him of getting over the mental hurdle of going all out. Linemen have to be mean it's just a necessary but often overlooked fact. A guy who has spent his whole life "trying not to hurt the other kids" and who has to be gentle even with his handshake, I'm not sure he can ever cut loose and just attack.
