ASU just needs a salesman to lead that program to national prestige. Just pitch to every 5 star recruit that can't get into USC to come to Tempe. Tempe > every Pac 12 city.
I love Tempe but better than..

Seattle, Westwood (LA), Palo Alto, Boulder?

I've never been to Westwood so guess I can't say but easily the ASU campus is better and more to offer a 5 star recruit than Colorado or the shitty city of Seattle. ASU and Stanford don't compete for the same type of high recruit.

Arizona State: Per a report from 247, Arizona State is likely to name Herm Edwards their new head coach “as early as next week.” Edwards will be in Tempe to meet with ASU officials this weekend, so ASU President Dr. Michael Crow has time to return from a Global Education Summit in Beijing.

 if true and that happens

Tennessee: "We are going to go after the most washed up former NFL coach we can find."

I really don't get the Graham firing.

It makes sense, although risky, if you thought Sumlin was coming.

I was a little surprised, but in all reality it's been the same problems at ASU under Graham. A new face is needed, but I don't think that face is..

But, I'm not too shocked they fired Graham....he had two 10 win seasons but went 18-19 the last 3.

I'm not sure why you think this? Wasn't good in the pros, never been in the college game, and hasn't coached in 10 years. :noidea:

Not saying Herm is too old, he's had the time off to rest, that's for sure

I wonder how many years Saban has left. I know he hasn't dropped off ability wise.

I could guess less than 5. No real reason, just pure speculation. He is currently 1 Natty away from tying Bear, 2 from tying for most while at Bama. If he ties the latter, I think he's done.

Not saying he could be just like Carroll and have same success but Pete had no college experience when he went to USC....they are both high energy and passionate coaches.
