Excellent and unexpected signing. Not often does BB discuss contracts during the season. He must really like this Swiss Army Knife?happy news
Patriots signed SS Adrian Phillips to a three-year, $12.75 million extension.
Phillips was in the final season of the two-year contract he signed in 2020. The new deal maxes out at $14.25 million with incentives and includes $7.25 million in guaranteed money. Phillips has a career-high four interceptions and has been a major part of the Patriots' zone scheme this year, playing snaps at linebacker and corner in addition to safety. The $4.25 million APR is a cost-effective deal for the Patriots, who now have Phillips signed through his age-32 season.
Well this is good we have to assume D Mac might leave and I cannot see BB paying JC what other teams willhappy news

What I was thinking.Well this is good we have to assume D Mac might leave and I cannot see BB paying JC what other teams will
He might but that second contract is the money maker and JC gonna wanna get paid, and i don't blame him. F&$^ team loyalty that shit works one way only. What I was thinking.
D Mac probably done after this year.
Leaving the Pats in good hands with Dugger, Philips and Bledsoe.
Hey Bill paid Gilmore and Revis, he might pay JC...
FIFY since he paid Revis only one year then let him get his Bank from the *ets.Hey Bill paid Gilmore, he might pay JC...
Wasn't he paid like $15 mil for 1 year with a $20 mil option that was not picked up?FIFY since he paid Revis only one year then let him get his Bank from the *ets.

2 yrs for 32 mil but pats paid him 12Wasn't he paid like $15 mil for 1 year with a $20 mil option that was not picked up?
That's "Paid" in my book.
Hey Bill paid Gilmore and Revis, he might pay JC...
Just hoping they can meet in the middle somewhere.2 yrs for 32 mil but pats paid him 12
difference is JC will want around 5/75
How many guys leave the Pats, then play seriously good ball. Chandler Jones comes to mind. Anyone else?Comparing JC to Gilmore and Revis isn't fair. Those 2 are some 9f the best Corners to ever play. He's a very good #1 DB. Yeah... he's been burnt a few times but I recall Devante Parker kicking Gilmores ass. Someone will pay him what tha Patriots can't/won't. Hopefully someone steps up. Seems like they always do.
Not as good as Gilmore when Gilmore was here.Do you guys all feel that JC is a true lockdown corner like Gilmore and Revis or is JC the recipient of a stellar defense all across the board? Don't get me wrong, I think the guy is fantastic and hope he stays, but he has been burned a few times.
If you had to compare JC to either Gilmore or Malcolm Butler who would you say he's closer to?
Really good point, and he's probably more savvy than early Gilmore. Not as good as Gilmore when Gilmore was here.
As good as Gilmore in Buffalo though...? Maybe.
We sent Revis on his way with a bad wrist.FIFY since he paid Revis only one year then let him get his Bank from the *ets.

Shit, I thought he lost a step before he came over.We sent Revis on his way with a bad wrist.
He lost a step and wanted $20 million, then never put in another good season.....
He was excellent in man for us. He hid his wrist injury from Jets when he signed for $39 million.Shit, I thought he lost a step before he came over.
I also thought he declined the option at the same time Bill declined the option.
