Can't think of another time the official Michigan twitter celebrated the birthday of any other player, either former or current. And today this rolls through my twitter feed:

Coincidence? I'm hoping not.

The meltdown if he takes another NFL job is going to be amazing.

I'll be disappointed, but probably not enough to come here at melt down.

Worse off? Given how far we've dipped, I can't imagine worse off. You'd have to move the University to Ohio to be worse off.

And I've said this before, it's not about "Michigan Man" it's about getting the best coach possible. And in this case, one of the top coaches coaching any kind of football in the world is potentially becoming pretty much only because he is a "Michigan Man" -- we'd have no shot at him otherwise.

Dude is locker room cancer.

In the NFL where you have huge egos that get paid millions of dollars. Not the same in College, which is why many people believe he's a better college coach with his style suiting it more.

There is no doubt, if we land Harbaugh we will be good again -- and very quickly.

Also, MSU losing Narduzzi is the best thing I've heard in a long time. Now we'll really know who was the mastermind behind MSU's return.

He hasn't left yet. Doubt he'd leave for Pitt but who knows

With Jim a "West coast" guy now...I just don't see him going back to the mid-west for bucket fulls of cash. I have nothing against the Wolverines OR the mid-west, but the harsh weather for a guy that doesn't need money IF he just stays put.

The whole thought seems perplexing to me.

Seems like Michigan wants Jim as their new coach, so if he takes the job everyone would be happy. I wish you fans the best in getting him.

Don't buy it. He went to HS in California before coming to Michigan and choosing to stay in Michigan to play college FB.

And shockingly, not everyone loves west coast weather. I couldn't stand the 1, maybe 2, seasons of San Fran. So given he's already jumped to Ann Arbor before, I have no doubt he wouldn't mind doing it again -- especially because of the boat loads of money. $8 million in Michigan is like 3-4 million more take home pay than $8 million in California.

Also, this is a guy who just last year said that of the 12 places he's lived, Ann Arbor was the best.
http://www.freep.com/story/sports/c...2/18/michigan-football-jim-harbaugh/20598013/

Harbaugh said: "I lived in 12 places growing up."

Czarniak: "Twelve places. And your favorite?"

Harbaugh: "Favorite was Ann Arbor, Michigan."

Czarniak: "Okay. Why?"

Harbaugh: "It was the place I lived the longest. I loved Michigan football growing up. My dad was a defensive backs coach under Bo Schembechler at the University of Michigan. And I ended up playing college football at the University of Michigan for Bo Schembechler. And those were my best years growing up."

Does it at all concern you that his team in san fran hates him, and his playcalling on offense sucks? I think he's a good coach, but these have got to be a concern.

Well, Michigan's Twitter feed is either trying to get a coach or nudee pics, I hope the former.
