Usually my rule of thumb is to take the underdogs in week 1 but in this case I'd take the favorites in both. I don't like Von Miller being out with the Broncos. I don't like Daniel Jones against a good defense.

Steelers are notoriously slow out the gate to start every season... Only 1-2 times have they ever come out in the opener & did what they were supposed to under Tomlin.

That said, I put most my vCash on the Steelers to cover. That defense is probably the best they have had in a long time. Could be better than 08

It’s the giants. It’s more about our d being good. If it returns to 80% of last year turnover jones is gonna hve a rough night.

that being said. I expect the gmen to take a big step forward this year. I like them. It’s also very hard to carry that stellar d from year to year. Question marks about Ben, juju , Conner, I get going the other way....some of it is homerism. Some I just think they’re better.

fwiw the line opened at -3 pgh got bet heavy to -6....trended down time 5-5.5 for a bit today and back to 6.....so betters are on pgh heavy.... 3 points is a lot. But I also rec teasing it down to 3 to play it safe..or just money line parlay with the late game.

Not a gambler so I don't pay attention to the lines. Why did BigBen have to get in shape before before the season started? That just improves the Steelers chances of returning to the playoffs.
